  Let's see what's new...
  
  Karla (Jadyn's nanny) found Jadyn standing in his crib last Thursday. He then stood again that night so we lowered the mattress in the crib. I haven't seen him stand again but I am sure he will be a pro in no time.
  
  Last night, I lost Jadyn's last pacifier. He did really good without it last night but Karla said that today he was super grumpy because he wouldn't take a nap. I put him down tonight without any pacifier and he went right to sleep. I think we are going to use this time to just get rid of the pacifier altogether. We'll see what happens. On one hand I feel like he is too young for me to take it away but on the other hand, I feel like this is a perfect opportunity. Let's see if I cave in and go buy more (I am going to try not to).
  
  Jadyn's halloween costume came in the mail today. It is so cute!!!
  
  We signed Jadyn up for daycare. Karla is going to be leaving at the end of October and he will start when we get back from Ivan's sister's wedding. We looked at several places and I was so disappointed by the quality and price of these places. We finally found one near our house that we really liked. I know there is going to be a huge adjustment period (probably more for me than Jadyn) but I think it will be good for him. Right now he doesn't get to play with too many kids so this will be good.
  
  He is eating so well. The other night I gave him meatloaf and mashed potatoes and he did so well. He has started to actually chew his food instead of letting it slide down his throat.
  
  I think that is about it. He still only has 2 teeth but I think the others are coming real soon. He is crawling all over the place and loves to walk when I hold his hands. He cracks me up so much!

  Jadyn is sick for the first time. Poor little guy! We had a very rough night last night. He was up every 2 hours and then every hour and a half. He just wanted to be held so I held him. He was having trouble breathing out of his nose because of all the snot so I think it just felt better to be sitting up. He didn't have a temperature when we went to bed but around 2:30 this morning it felt like he was burning up. He did have a temperature but thankfully it has gone down more and more throughout the day. He has been sleeping on and off all day. After I gave him a bath, he seemed like a new baby - still not feeling well but definitely refreshed. I hate the fact that I gave it to him. For me, I was (am) barely sick and he got it this bad. It is the first of many but definitely not any fun. I do love the fact that he wants mommy. He just wants to be held and know that I am there.

  Aunt Ronnie:  Hope Jaydn is feeling much better now and that you are also. The first time is rough but youi did well and he will get better quickly. He is adorable and it is hard to believe 8 months have gone by. I hope that I get to see you all one of these days. We love and miss you all. Aunt Ronnie
