Today was Jadyn's 18 month doctor visit. Everything went really well. The doctor said he was tall and skinny. I don't think anyone in our families have been told that so we'll take it! He does have some blood blocking his tubes in his ear so we have to take him to the ENT on Wednesday. Otherwise he is looking good and growing/developing the way he should be.

I'll keep you posted on Wednesday's ENT visit.

I have to share what a piggie Jadyn was last night for dinner. This was all at one sitting - he ate a small bowl of mandarin oranges, 1/2 a can of cheesy burger macaroni, a whole pudding cup, a small handful of fruit loops, 1/2 of my chicken breast, and about a 1/2 cup of veggies (corn, peas, green beans, & carrots)! His belly was so full I thought he was going to explode!

It has definitely been a while since I last posted or updated anything! Everything here is good. Jadyn is just growing so fast. He LOVES daycare! He loves to play outside throwing rocks, playing with bubbles, riding his little power wheels, and playing with chalks. He loves when the neighborhood boys are playing basketball - once he sees them, he takes off! Jadyn is a little piggy - he loves to eat. His favorites are fruit (mandarin oranges), anything with cheese, and anything with pasta (obviously, he LOVES mac-n-cheese).

Right now, we are in the "mommy only" phase. If I am not there, he will pretty much go to anyone. But if I am there, he only wants me and typically wants me to carry him only. You know - it is sweet that he wants me so much but sometimes you just can't!

Jadyn is really cute when you sing "I'm a Little Teapot." He tries to hold out his arms and tip over. When you sing ring a round the rosy, he turns around in a circle (but doesn't get the we all fall down part). With BINGO, he starts clapping, with "If your happy and you know it.." he claps and stomps his feet.

Overall, Jadyn is such a sweet kid. He blows kisses to everyone (Latte gets the most real kisses but mommy and daddy get them sometimes too!)

It was my intention to upload pics but for some reason I am having some trouble with the computer. Everything is well with us. No news really. Jadyn is doing good. He is walking all over the place. All 4 molars came in at the same time so that wasn't fun. Jadyn and Ivan were both sick but both are better.

I hope to post pics soon.

Surgery was a success. We got there this morning at 6:30. Jadyn wasn't too cranky without food and drink because when we got there the waiting room was a full of babies. So, he played while we did registration. Then we went to the pre op room. He got a little antsy there but not too bad. He had to do a breathing treatment since he had been sick. I went with him until they gave him the anesthesia. He was out in like 2 seconds. By the time me and Ivan got to the post op room (maybe 3 minutes), the doctor came to us that he was done. We ask him if he was kidding. Then we waited for Jadyn to wake up and check his vitals. He ate some crackers and drank juice and we were on our way home. That's it. Woohoo!

Jadyn has been sick! We went to the doctor and he thinks that it is a viral thing. It probably is since he broke out in a rash all over his body. He has been so cranky for the past week. This morning he seems much better. Tomorrow he gets tubes put in (assuming they will still do it since he has been sick). He hasn't had a fever since Saturday morning so I think they will do it. I really hope they schedule it for the first thing in the morning since he can't eat or drink. Jadyn is just like mommy and daddy and LOVES to eat!!

Aunt Ronnie: do hope that the tubes help. Ilene had to have it done due to her severe allergies but it did help and I hope Jadyn will improve soon. He is gorgeous and growing so fast. I have no way of reaching you and my gift was returned so let me know where to send things. Love, Aunt Ronnie

Happy Birthday to Jadyn! We just got back from our trip. We left for South Florida on Friday. We saw my family, Ivan's family, and Karla. Saturday was the Bar Mitzvah, which was a lot of fun. We drove to Disney on Sunday and went to Animal Kingdom and downtown Disney. On Monday, we went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast, then the Magic Kingdom, and then met up with Jared, Donna, and Jed at downtown Disney. Then we flew home today. It was a lot of fun but we are definitely super tired. Just beware, we took over 600 pictures since Friday. Good thing for digital cameras. I am not going to post them all but I am sure there will be plenty to see how the trip was.

No more formula! No more bottles! No more facing backwards in the car! Jadyn is officially drinking milk. I am thrilled to not have to buy anymore expensive formula for him again! He had no trouble switching to milk. He just took it and didn't even make a face. For the last month, we have only been giving him a bottle in the morning and night. We went through a few kinds of sippy cups but finally found the ones he likes the best. He was fine when we took away the night bottle but fussed a litle when we took away the morning bottle. We also decided to face his carseat forward. He seemed to love it. He stared out the window and then started clapping. It was very cute!

I can't believe that Jadyn will be one years old in a week. This time last year I was wondering when he would be here. It has been an amazing year watching him change and grow everyday.

This weekend we are going to S. Fl for Uncle Aaron's Bar Mitzvah. Then we are driving to Orlando to go to Disney. I am so excited to go.

Aunt Ronnie: Happy !st Birthday Jadyn!!!!! Time seems to have flown by so rapidly. You are such a handsome young man and I know how proud your mommy and daddy and all your family are. There is a little something going out to you and I hope that you get it and mommy can put it to something she wants for you. We hope you had a great time at the Bar Mitzvah and at Disney.
